New Zealand

Kia Ora    Hello in Maori

Made it! We are here in New Zealand. Below is our guide, Josh.

A view of Auckland harbor.

A very old and endangered Kauri tree. This one is about 800 years old also the oldest in NZ.

Robert, founder of the NZ bird rescue charitable trust. Here with a rescued kiwi. Who are very endangered.

Robert actually had a conversation with this bird.. fascinating

Thanks to updating iPad , having extreme difficulty creating entries. Enjoy the pictures.

We are snugged into our hotel in Pahia - bay of islands on the north end of the north island of New Zealand. It is quite beautiful country here. The texture of the stands of trees are nothing like we have ever seen before. Had a chance to walk into woods a bit when visiting the Kauri tree. Feels tropical but not like a rain forest.

Our hotel rooms are probably the most spacious ever had the delight to enjoy.  ( about 12 times larger than the cabin we had in the bike and barge in France). The view is awesome not to mentioning, listening to the many birds chirping all around.

To our delight, there is a mini fridge in our rooms. A short stroll to the nearest dairy (NZ for convenience store) and liquor store.  This room is stocked for our 3 day stay! Yeah!!

Found a work around!  Compose in an email, then copy paste,  we are in business.   Yeah!
