Now time to get on our bikes for the "warm up ride" .
Literally, it was a true "warm up". They sent the long route riders on a sprint up a little hill amounting to a 2638 foot climb. Just to turn around and coast back down. Needless to say, this certainly got the hearts a pumping.
New to VBT is a GPS phone app with our ride routes loaded. No need for paper directions to try to read while riding!! I was a bit fussy that my phone was not assisting me when discovered the volume was turned off. Made a huge difference to hear the directions....
Post ride libations .... gone. :(
A most unusual treat! We all were invited in the kitchen where the chef demonstrated cooking pasta. Way fun! And very tasty!!
