Baltic Capitals- Poland episode 1 part A

Welcome virtual travelers to the first country of 5 on this journey, Poland! Our hotel is excellently located on the edge of old town, Stare Miastro. We have a fabulous view of the Wawel Castle. Krakow was once the capital of Poland, that is until 1596. Today it remains the cultural and intellectual center of Poland. Unlike many surrounding cities, Krakow escaped significant damage during World War II. Thus many historical sites survived making this one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. We explored the old town today on foot and by golf carts. Totally fun way to get around on the carts. Still managed to make 25,389 steps according to my phone.
