Another most interesting day down under. We met with an aboriginal man, Lindsey. Who talked about the history of the indigenous people of this land. Their beginnings, the British taking over this land, tribal customs and the struggles they face today. Striking parallels to what has and is happening to the native tribes in the USA.
Off we went to the Adelaide Botanical Gardens for a guided tour. Also quite fascinating. Then we scattered in all directions. Brenda and more went on a winery tour. Candace and I successfully navigated our way to Glenlg. Yup by tram and even figured out how to buy a ticket! All by ourselves! We were thrilled to figure it all out and bonus! Found a Mexican restaurant. It was mighty tasty too. Glenlg is on the shore of the Great Australian Bight ( not a typo) which is connected to the Tasman Sea which is connected to the Southern Ocean which, yup, we are that far south, Antarctica.
Tonight, a home hosted dinner then tomorrow we are on the move — Alice Springs. Keep checking in for more episodes!
Neat!
