Day 8. Tierra de Fuego National Park
We packed up and off to the main event of this tour. But first, check out the national park on the largest island in South America, Tierra del Fuego! It is an archipelago at the most southern tip of South America shared by 2 countries, Argentina and Chile. Known for its dramatic landscape of snowy mountains, glaciers, tundra and wind sculpted trees. Within its borders is Ushuaia, the gateway region to Antarctica. Also called "the end of the world". We explored a portion of the park by bus and on foot. Totally so lucky to have some fabulous weather. The morning was clear skies. What are those odds?!? The day gradually clouded over but did not damped our excitement as we embarked the Corinthian. Our home for the next 9 days. Enjoy some views of the park. More about the ship in next blog entry. We are really rocking and a rolling. Wheeeeeeeee
