Baltic Capitals St Petersburg episode 17 part b

The key landmark of this city, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. How it looks on a post card and then how we saw it. Construction began in 1883, completed in 1907 by Alexander III. It is a memorial to his father Alexander II on the spot where he was mortally wounded. Then on to the Neva River and the winter palace of the tzars. Now 1 of the 5 the Hermitage museum buildings.
