Scandinavia! Copenhagen Denmark Day 1 a

A new day, a new country, a new adventure! Our luck has temporarily run out for beautiful weather. We made the best of it thanks to rain coats and umbrellas. First time in Copenhagen. It really is an interesting city. This VBT tour is on your own for the pre and post trip cities. It was nice to have a guide leading you around and filling your head with knowledge of what you are looking at on the OAT tour but this is a nice break. We can get lost quite well all on our own. 😉. In our quest to see the signature sculpture famous to the city of Copenhagen, the Mermaid, Mark expertly guided us to it. Although at one point he said it was in 800 meters. Interesting calculation when in fact it was 3 more miles. A bit of a difference. At least that's what my feet are saying.... no worries. We did find the Mermaid and several bus loads of sightseers. 🥴. The beer at lunch cured the aching feet. This is a fun city to poke around. Need more bicycles.... There are more bikes than people. Dedicated lanes and stoplights just for bikes and scooters. Total envy for us riders from the USA.
