Scandinavia- Helsingborg Sweden Day 2 b

Goodbye Denmark, hello Sweden! Lots happening today! We toured a castle, lunch in a huge pole barn like building that was half food court, and then, the point of us all getting together, bicycles! Met our two guides, Milan and Eddie. Ironically many of us have ridden with Milan on other VBT tours. Fun to see and have him guide us on this tour. The warm up ride was a quick 12 miles have of which was a nasty head wind on way out. Based on the weather predictions, there may be more wind to contend with ... oh boy. When leaving the rest stop, Mark's derailed decided to go perpendicular to the gear cassette. Not good. Quickly switched his bike and we coasted the last 6 miles with a sweet tail wind. Onto the ferry and crossed the Ore Sound, another passport control and entered Sweden. We will be staying in the port city of Helsingborg for 3 nights. It is a stretch, Mark and I had to check out the nearest pub, the Telegraph. Turns out to be the oldest pub in the city. Very fun. A view of the oldest house in Sweden from our window and the local castle. Fabulous smorgasbord dinner in the oldest house. Tomorrow, we ride!
