China! Day 4 part b

Shanghai! Truly a beautiful and fascinating city. The architecture of the skyscraper buildings is stunning. So much to experience here. The food, the culture and the many modes of transportation. We traveled by plane, train, automobile, subway, high speed train, boat, on foot, taxi, vans, ... just about everything except a bicycle or electric scooter. What are those odds?!? It is a miracle there are not more crashes as to how the riders weave around each other and successfully dodge head on collisions. It is almost like poetry in motion. Our last mode of transportation was the Maglev. The train is propelled by magnets. It can reach a speed of 300 kilometers per hour. This was our transport to the airport. Today we fly to Beijing. The commute from the airport took as long as it did to fly here. Gotta love traffic and densely populated city of about 23 million. Tomorrow, we explore a new old city, keep reading!
