This afternoon we explored another temple, the Temple of Heaven and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest. Built in 1420, without a single nail, this temple was originally used by the Ming and Qing emperors to pay homage to heaven and pray for a rich harvest. It is 96' wide and 124' tall. Like Fuxing Park in Shanghai, it too is a popular hang out for seniors. Lots of spirited card and Chinese checker games happening here. Tomorrow, the Great Wall!
