>> Another day, another full day of visiting temples. Started out with the optional tour to Banteay Srei. Built in 967 AD, Banteay Srei means citadel of women. Sandstone is the building material. What is notable are the most intricate carvings. Something to see for sure. A testament to the craftsmanship and wonderful state of preservation. Our guide has an amazing working knowledge of all the temples and the stories the carvings tell.
