> Lots of travel these two days. We disembarked the river boat to visit the biggest dam in the world, to a nearly 6 hour bus ride to Wuhan, to a most unusual hotel campus, up before sunrise, off to the airport and flew to Hong Kong. Whew. The travel is not over yet. 6:00 a.m. we depart back to the airport and fly to Siem Reap. 2 days early. 4 different accommodations in 4 days. By the time we get to Cambodia, will be nice to relax. Will be interesting if they can find enough for us to do to fill up 6 days. The original itinerary was to stay 3 nights in Hong Kong, but there is a bit of unrest going on here. OAT made the decision to shorten the tour. The photo of the city above is Hong Kong. This is as close as we are going to get. Hong Kong is comprised of over 200 separate islands. We are quite safe here. We have an over night on our way home in Hong Kong. That hotel is in the airport. The second we got off the plane today sure felt different then were we have been for the last 3 weeks. Much more familiar and less controlled — free to breath easier. Oh yea, the air is less hazy. Saw the sun today for the first time since Tibet. Last night was our farewell dinner. The biggest lazy Susan on the planet. It had a motor to turn it. Great food and a great time had by all. Bade farewell to 3 travelers today and another 4 tomorrow. The remaining 8 will continue on to Cambodia. Stay tuned.
Our first of two farewell dinners. We did bade safe travels to 7 of our travel mates.
